Why is there no pressure when I make a coffee pressure gauge?
If the coffee grounds are too coarsely ground, it will cause excessivelyfast flow rate.In this case,the pressure valve cannot establish effectivestandard pressure range of 9-12 bar.If there's still no pressure after adjusting the grind, check the freshnessof the coffee beans, It's recommended to use beans within one weekafter opening!
How do fresh coffee beans and ground coffee affect my extraction?
Freshly roasted coffee beans contain a lot of gas. During extraction, this gas creates resistance to the water flow. Coffee beans themselves also release gas, especially freshly ground coffee. Therefore, the longer coffee beans are stored, the less gas they contain, and the less resistance they create to the water flow. This results in different extraction pressures and flow rates for the same grind size and the same beans at different times.
How to adjust the OPV?
The OPV in your new coffee machine comes factory-calibrated and isready for immediate use without adijustments. Should you experiencelow or no pressure, this typically indicates your coffee grind is too coarse(for optimal results, we recommend adjusting grind size using aStarseeker or equivalent professional-grade grinder). What to do if the pressure gauge maxes out?
When pressure exceeds 20 bar, the gauge may temporarily peg atmaximum. This won't affect operation -just keep subsequent pressurebelow 20 bar and the gauge will gradually return to normal
